The Parts of the Brain
All the parts of the brain are located within your bony protective skull. The central nervous system includes both the brain and the nerve cells located within your spinal cord. We'll stick with the fascinating and mysteriously complex brain for now.
Your brain has two major parts, the left and right hemispheres. Each of your hemispheres has four sections; the frontal lobe, the parietal lobe, the occipital lobe, and the temporal lobe. Dividing your brain's hemispheres are the longitudinal fissure, the sylvian fissure, and the central sulcus. Connecting your two hemispheres is your corpus callosum.
All the parts of the brain function together with your spinal cord sending messages back and forth and to all parts of your body. Your brain is even capable of sending messages to other brains! Click here to read about this amazing fact.
Brain to Brain.
At the upper end of your spinal cord and the base of your brain is your brain stem. Which is composed of the medulla, pons, midbrain, and diencephalon. Your spinal cord nerves and brain stem receives and transmits information from your body.
Over a hundred billion neurons, or brain cells form all the parts of your brain. These amazing cells work via electrochemical impulses. Essentially, you are these electrochemical impulses, constantly sending and receiving messages night and day. You are your physical form as well, but the inner you that thinks and feels are these billions of tiny neurons. This inner you controls every aspect of your total being.
The amazing thing is that you are only using a fraction of your total capabilities. Brain power can be increased. Your life can be drastically improved. All your inspiration or 'potential' inspiration comes from your brain. This is why your brain is your inner sanctum.
