Feel Good Neurotransmitters And Your Brain

Neurotransmitters are brain chemicals that can affect emotions. The failure of neurons in your brain to fire or transmit these chemicals properly can result in depression, anxiety, seasonal affective disorder, and other problems.

A normal brain controls everything effectively -your breathing rate, heartbeat, and even your emotions. This is done by sending and receiving messengers called neurotransmitters.

The primary feel good transmitters are seratonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine.

Serotonin gives you the feeling of relaxation and well being. Dopamine and norepinephrine make us mentally alert, improve concentration and focus.

If these feel good transmitters are not delivered properly or in the correct amounts then we may experience brain health problems.
