Key Success Factor -Taking Action

A key success factor is taking action. How do you do this? You start by writting down your end goal. Say you want to earn a certain amount of money. You may want a successful relationship with the opposite sex. Whatever you desire, focus on this as your end goal. You may desire something else, and that's fine. Simply make that your end goal. Remember, nothing is written in stone. Remain flexible.

Now, focus on what it will take to earn that money, relationship or end goal. Have 'clear and concrete' in your mind. This is why it helps to have a journal. It solidifies your desires even more than if you simply kept it in your head.

If you desire more income decide what it is that you will have to do in order to get that income. Also, start thinking what you want to use as a vehicle of pursuit. You may decide to get an education to earn that money and ultimately get a higher paying job. In the process you may meet your desire of the opposite sex.

You may decide to start a small business. Maybe formal education is not for you. Or you may decide to start a website, internet based business. Whatever it is, you have to determine how you are going to earn that extra money, meet that perfect mate, get to your end goal.

How do you do this? Easy, research everything you can about your end goal. Stop procrastinating and start working towards your goal. Originally you may want to get a formal, higher education. After researching that idea you may decide that's not what you want afterall. The same goes for any end goal.

Now, how do you decide what it is that you should do? Easy, do what you really love to do within the frame of reality. Consciously decide this. There are bound to be some things that you absolutely love to do. Brainstorm around what would work and what wouldn't. Then concentrate on the concrete, workable model that you have now built. Write it all down in a journal. Make notes. Once you have a clear outline start to make your desire a reality. Remember by doing all the above you have taken action.

1) Write down your end goal.

Write down whatever it is that you fancy, be it money, a love relationship, a home based business, a trip to some exotic place. It is important to write it down in detail so that the idea moves from a thought to a clear, concrete plan.

2) What will it take to achieve this end goal?

Brainstorm here. Write down everything you believe could possibly get you to your end goal. Ideas you assumed impossible may be possible. Ideas you assumed possible may be impossible. Do I need to get a different job? Do I need to retrain myself? Do I need to start a business? What exactly would move you towards your goal? This is a key success factor as it allows you to see all the possibilities, real and unreal, concrete or abstract.

3) Research your options.

Research, research, research and try, try, try. The more you read, study, and try what it is that you think you want to do the sooner you'll know if you really want to do it. This is a key success factor as it weeds out the real from the unreal.

4) Do what you love.

This is an easy way to decide what to do. And really, there's nothing nicer then doing what you love. This is probably the biggest key success factor in the long run. The reason is simple, you enjoy what you're doing.
