Guided hypnosis, the easy way!
Hypnosis is a state of mind where you are relaxed. You feel a sense of well-being and calm. The hypnotic state can be induced through self or guided hypnosis scripts. This state of mind is called trance.
While in hypnotic trance you can change your thoughts and perceptions. For instance, if you experience anxiety you can give yourself suggestions to help you be less anxious.
Self hypnotic trance is similar to self meditation. You relax your mind and body by breathing from the diaphragm gently and easily. Then, through, different methods you bring your focus and attention to your body.
The following is an easy script for you to follow. Simply lay down or sit down and close your eyes. Get comfortable and bring your attention to your breath. Take several diaphragmatic breaths in and out. Nice and slow, to a count of, say, five seconds for each in and out breath. This will relax your body.
When you're ready repeat the follow words to yourself. Be sure to speak to yourself in a slow, soft and easy tone.
Start of Script.
I will now go into a wonderful hypnotic trance. I will count down from ten to one. At the count of one I will be in a wonderful state of hypnotic trance.
Ten ... going into trance.
Nine... the further I count downward the deeper into trance I go.
Eight... I feel relaxed.
Seven... nice and gentle.
Six... relax, the more relaxed I feel the deeper into trance I go, the deeper into trance I go the more relaxed I feel.
Five... I feel good.
Four... my body is relaxed.
Three... feeling good.
Two... a wonderful feeling is coming over my entire body.
One... I am now in a gentle state of hypnotic trance.
I am now going to relax my body part by part. My feet are warm and relaxed, my calves are relaxed, my thighs are relaxed, I feel the wonderful warmth spreading upwards from my feet to my hips.
My abdomen is relaxed, my chest is relaxed, as is my back, I feel the warmth spreading upward through my body, feeling good. My shoulders are relaxed, my upper arms are relaxed, my lower arms are relaxed, my hands are relaxed. The warmth is spreading through my shoulders and into my arms and hands. I feel good.
My neck is relaxed, my scalp is relaxed, my forehead is relaxed. The warmth is spreading to these areas. I feel good. The area around my eyes is relaxed, my cheeks are relaxed, my jaws are relaxed.
I am in a nice state of trance. My mind and body are gently relaxed. I feel wonderful.
I am now going to give myself a suggestion. I will take this suggestion and allow it to be a part of my inner and outer self.
I feel comfortable in social situations. I am comfortable and love myself. I feel comfortable in social situations. I am good, I am relaxed. It is okay for my body to accept my comfort and love. I feel comfortable in social situations. Let this be true.
I will now slowly come out of trance. I will feel refreshed, and calm, comfortable with life.
One... coming out of trance.
Two... feeling good, coming out of trance.
Three... wonderful.
Four... I will now open my eyes.
Five... I am now out of trance, feel refreshed and alert.

This is a simple self hypnosis you can practice daily. It will work for going into sleep if you desire. You can change the script to suit your needs. If at all during your hypnosis you feel an itch or need to move, itch it or move. The whole point is to be relaxed. At first your body will tend to be restless. With practice this will go away.
Research shows that hypnosis has many powerful benefits to mind and body. The more you practice the better you will get. The easier you will be able to induce a relaxed state. Your brain will feel the nurturing affects.
